Rodney Thu is the Director of Quality Assurance at Hasbro, where he has worked for 12 years. He leads the Commodity, Regulatory & Internal Policy and Laboratory (CRPL) team within Hasbro’s Quality Assurance department. His team is responsible for ensuring the quality of high-risk material suppliers, management both vendor in-house & third-party testing laboratories, and monitoring toy regulations, particularly in the Asia Pacific region, while also updating internal Hasbro policies.

Rodney is a committee member of the China TC253 SAC (National Technical Committee 253 on Toys of Standardization Administration of China) and is a registered expert in ISO/TC 181/WG 6 and ISO/TC 181/WG 8. He has played a key role in various expert groups focused on developing toy safety standards in areas such as chemical, physical/mechanical and electrical safety. Rodney earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Hong Kong.
