Larry Bell is the Director of Product Safety for BSH Home Appliances Corporation, headquartered in Irvine California. He is responsible for the development and oversight of BSH’s product safety compliance program and specifically manages the process of reviewing the safety of all products manufactured in the US or imported from other locations around the world and sold in North America prior to market release. Mr. Bell is also responsible for field monitoring of safety related incidents, data analysis, field returns and investigations, and working with its insurance carrier on subrogation matters. He is the corporate liaison for consumer safety regulatory matters. Mr. Bell advises senior management on potential product hazards and recommends, develop and monitor recall execution plans.
Mr. Bell earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering Technology at East Carolina University in Greenville NC and has an Associate’s Degree in Electronics from the Electronics Computer Program Institute (ECPI) in Virginia…both with honors. Mr. Bell holds three professional certifications through the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, Certified Quality Engineer, and Certified Quality Auditor. He has specialized training in Fire and Explosion Investigations, and Investigation of Electrical & Appliance Related Fires.
