About me
Lynn Berndt-Weis is the Director of the Assessment, Information and Engagement Bureau within Health Canada’s Consumer Product Safety Program. In this role, Lynn oversees activities to identify, assess, and manage health and safety risks posed by consumer products and cosmetics.
The Bureau undertakes product testing, risk assessment and analyses to assess emerging hazards, identify and assess product trends, contribute to the development of methodologies and standards, and establish approaches and priorities to assess these risks. The Bureau also leads information and data services for the Program, and manages domestic and international external relations related to consumer product safety.
Lynn has over 25 years of experience at Health Canada and holds a Bachelor of Science (High Honours in Biology) from Carleton University in Ottawa, ON, and a Master of Science in Biology from the University of Maine, USA.
