About me
John McNulty is the Director of Product Safety and Compliance Engineering for Hardware at Google LLC. He is an engineer with a Materials Science background with 35 years of experience in most end-use markets, covering Materials characterization, Fracture and fatigue testing, Failure analysis, Soldering & printed circuit board assembly, Product development, Reliability testing, analysis, and standards development, Supplier intervention & audits, Corrective action development & monitoring, Safety engineering & recall assessments, Mentoring, Expert witness testimony, and Engineering management.
Prior to Google, he was a Principal Engineer at Exponent in the Materials and Corrosion Engineering Practice. He has a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from UC Santa Barbara and a B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from UC Berkeley.
