In November 2022, Dennis Price joined Health Canada as Director General of the Consumer and Hazardous Products Safety Directorate. In this role, Dennis is responsible for the assessment, management and communication of health and safety risks for all consumer products and cosmetics in the Canadian market. Dennis is also responsible for Canada’s national workplace hazard communication standard, the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System, which includes federal regulations in place to protect Canadian workers from workplace hazardous products. Dennis came to Health Canada from the Climate Change Branch of Environment and Climate Change Canada, where he served as Executive Director of the Net-Zero Advisory Body secretariat. Previously, he worked at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, where he was the Director responsible for the Health and Veterans Affairs portfolios.
